The Fordland R-3 School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Middle/High School Assistant Principal position for the 2026-27 school year. This position will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the district transportation department.  The Fordland School District is composed of 300 6-12 students and is located 15 minutes east of Springfield, Missouri.

 

The Fordland R-III School District has a 4-day school calendar with 150 Student contact days, and 160 Teacher contract days. 

Applicants must possess appropriate Missouri DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should be capable of being a team member who will work hard to increase academic achievement, be energetic, and show a high level of enthusiasm. Relationships, relevance, and student success is the key focus of Fordland R-3 School District. QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Baccalaureate Degree and a Masters Degree in Education with courses adaptable to secondary school supervision and administration.
  2. Valid Secondary Principal's Certificate from the State Department of Education.
  3. Must be able to apply for and obtain your CDL.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be mobile within and between school buildings.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Months

TYPE OF POSITION: Exempt

EVALUATION: Evaluated annually by the Superintendent.
