The Fordland R-3 School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of 6-12 Counselor for the 2025-26 school year.  The Fordland School District is comprised of 350 6-12 students and is located 15 minutes east of Springfield, Missouri. Fordland School is located 20 miles east of Springfield and offers competitive teacher salaries, a 4-day week, a positive work environment, board-paid medical insurance as well as paid time off days per year. 

 The Counselor's primary function is to provide a comprehensive guidance program for students in grades 6-12.  Services include school counseling core curriculum (in both individual & group settings), individual student planning, and responsive services.  Valid Missouri Certification required * Ability to gain and maintain "Highly Qualified" status as defined by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, required * Job-related experience, preferred.  This will be a 180-day contract for the 6-12 Counselor position.
